As promised, here is the ATC Mission and Goals draft statement. ATC members are encouraged to log in here and make changes to the draft. We will review the draft statement in two weeks during our next meeting.
The Statement to Date
The Academic Technology Committee is the voice of the faculty in matters related to academic technology. The Committee is intended to help stimulate and promote the effective use of technology at Emma. Toward that end, the ATC will be champions for instructional technology initiatives. The ATC will address concerns raised by the students and faculty, provide on-going instruction to faculty, and will provide funding via the Academic Technology Fund for creative/innovative uses of technology by faculty. To implement this charge, the ATC will partner with TS and other technology providers to plan, implement, and evaluate academic technology initiatives.
